result of a 1960 cross between two chocolate-colored cats with golden eyes. It

in Canada.

Chantilly is not recognized as a breed by the Official Book of Feline Origins
(LOOF), but since 2005, by an American association, the American Cat Fanciers
Association (ACFA), as an experimental breed. The Canadian Cat Association
(CCA), on the other hand, has recognized it as a new breed.
